HOW IT STARTED

SPARKLES + DANCING + SKIN

STORYTIME!!!

Growing up a dancer had me constantly putting on glitter, colored eyeshadow, crazy blush, and the red-est of red lipsticks. I was never allowed to wear makeup during the week at school, so during the weekends I really thrived. Putting chunky purple glitter from Limited Two on my eyes, cotton candy flavored Lip Smackers, and anything my mom would let me wear. I was always mesmerized by her beauty routines that I would watch her get ready everyday with her makeup, hair, and skincare then watch her get unready at night and be there at every haircut she had for years. I was finally allowed to wear makeup to school when my older sister was, of course the most simple routine of clear mascara and my Lip Smackers. I really got into learning the power of makeup when I was in 4th grade when I stared getting severe cystic acne. I know that it is young but it’s the truth and I loved it. Not the acne, but I loved the process of doing my makeup in the morning and especially how much confidence it gave me though the years. I really kept learning more and more though the rise of youtubers. That really can be why I love weddings so much - I get to have fun girl getting ready time! When dance competitions or performances would come up, I’d be the false eyelash and eye makeup girl which really taught me all the tricks I still use today without having to think. I started doing my older sister’s makeup for school dances then she introduced me to the theater department at our high school. I started doing the older theater girls’ makeup for school dances then eventually my own friends’ makeup. I started my Instagram to show all of my theater makeup experiments and fun makeup I would do for my friends doing fun photo shoots in the backyard. I actually used to be nicknamed “little miss risk” (and my Instagram handle) because of all the fun colors and my blunt mouth. That Instagram got me connections to local makeup artists looking for second artists for weddings and those theater connections led me to my first wedding by myself. That really kinda leads us to now with a much different name and style but still a love of the past endeavors and a passion for helping people feel their most beautiful.

a few of my

favorite things

FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND A SATURDAY NIGHT is to do absolutely nothing - relax on the couch with a sparkling water, countless movies or tv, and oodles of dessert. My dessert of choice you ask? CHOCOLATE :)

FAVORITE TV SHOW is between Hannah Montana and Wednesday - gotta have the best of both worlds am I right?!

GO TO MUSIC is anything 2010s, usually pop with a little old Kanye or drake, but never country, and always with the Jonas Brothers.

FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB is seeing the instant confidence someone gets when I am done. The flip of hair, new profile picture, straighter posture, and the smile they get when they see themselves for the first time “all done up” which is sometime they see themselves as "beautiful."

3 UNEXPECED THINGS THAT I LOVE is showering in the dark, all green vegetables, and crocs (I own four pairs)…
